What are elopements?
Maybe there is no single answer, but I think the best way to describe an elopement is as simple as having an intimate gathering to celebrate the love between two people. That’s it. The idea is that the day is simplified down to only what is most important to YOU, and allows you to celebrate in a way that is true to who you are.
DOES SIZE MATTER?
Sizes of elopements can vary; it can simply be an experience between the two people getting married, or it can include up to 25 of your closest friends and family members.
When the amount of people present is significantly smaller there is less focus placed on non-essential details and more focus placed on the experience for those that are a part of it.
THE MAGIC OF ELOPING
An elopement is truly whatever you dream it up to be. Imagine your best day together, what does that look like? The possibilities are endless. If you created a day that revolved around your love, what would you include? What activities would you do?
If this feels overwhelming or you feel like you could use a little guidance in the right direction I will be there to offer up vendors, locations, and ideas that I think you would love.
Imagine being on the coast of Spain, overlooking the ocean while you say your vows to each other. What about heading to the peaks of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta at sunset instead? Maybe you want to stay a little closer to home, let’s get you on the dock of your favourite lake in Muskoka. If you’re city people, we can find the perfect rooftop in Toronto overlooking the skyline and head to your favourite restaurant afterwards to continue the celebration. It’s all possible and within reach when you plan an intimate elopement.

I’m here not only as your elopement photographer, but also as your guide. I will be there to assist you with every step of the process to keep it simple and meaningful.

Your elopement is meant to be a comfortable experience, where you feel like you can truly open up. If you’re someone who might be nervous to say your vows during a big wedding in front of an “audience”, your elopement experience will remove those outside factors and leave you alone with your partner to privately express your commitment.

MY PHILOSOPHY
Ultimately, you are two unique people who have your own story to share and your own journey to embark on. I’m not here to awkwardly pose you and make you do things you would never do on your own. In my 5 years of photographing couples I’ve learned truly how different every couple is and that it’s important to honour that.
I promise to get to know who you are, as individuals and as a couple, so that your personalities and your love can be felt through the photos. I want you to feel like you can let go and be who you really are and express what you really feel. This joy in freedom is exactly what an elopement will feel like for you.
