Faye and Muiz are two people who could light up a room just by entering it. They are both emphatic, warm, and genuine individuals that just make everything feel brighter. Their energy, their love, their excitement - it was contagious and an created an unforgettable atmosphere for their intimate wedding at the Kortright Centre in Woodbridge.

Of course they weren’t without a few hurdles due to covid-19. There were many family members overseas that were unable to attend because of the restrictions, including a very key member, Faye’s sister. Although the situation caused a lot of heartache, the rest of Faye and Muiz’s family was there to support them and keep the outlook of the day lighthearted and positive. Faye’s mom set up a zoom call during her getting ready to conference in her sister and other family who could not be present so that they could share in the fun. Faye revealed her bridal look on screen and even did a rehearsal of walking down the aisle with her dad for them. There were moments when Faye was on the verge of tears, perhaps spurred on by her sister getting teary, but they had a plan. As soon as anyone started with the waterworks, they all jumped in to sing, “Who Let The Dogs Out?” accompanied by some hilariously fun dance moves. It worked. In a matter of minutes they would all go from crying to laughing - it was definitely a clever strategy.

Faye and Muiz’s ceremony consisted of two parts, embracing both their cultures and honouring family traditions. Under the epic canopy of trees, Faye and Muiz saw each other for the first time on their wedding day as Faye’s father walked her down the aisle. It was a teary moment, but a very happy and excited one at the same time. You could feel their nerves wash away as soon as they laid eyes on each other and it was nothing but grins and laughter to follow. When the newly pronounced husband and wife walked down the aisle and into celebration, Faye said “that was so fun, can we do it again?”

After a ceremony that felt magical, the rest of the evening was hosted in the Glass House which had a mythical Mid-Summers Night Dream vibe to it. The florals were overflowing (courtesy of Hunt & Gather) and the decor and table settings were flawless (thanks to All That Jaz). The reception wasn’t without a few very standout highlights. First off, Faye and Muiz opened with a fully choreographed dance number. It was an extremely impressive undertaking and they had their guests going wild. They laughed their whole way through it as they had realized there were a few gaps in their memory of the steps, but that just made it a lot more charming and entertaining to watch.

Throughout the evening there were multiple flash mobs, hilariously interrupting speeches to the surprise of the bride and groom. Finally, to cap it all off, there was a really sweet video filled with messages from those who could not attend. Faye’s sister made a special appearance, serenading them as Faye and her mom danced along through the tears.

The night was capped off with a bonfire and smores, nothing could have been more perfect for this woodland wedding. It was both romantic and intimate while be lighthearted and too much fun. The Kortright Centre was the perfect wedding venue to bring together all the elements that made up this couple, and the feeling they wanted their day to have.
